Prof. Kostas Fanti is a Professor of Developmental Psychology and Director of the Developmental Psychopathology Laboratory at the University of Cyprus’s Department of Psychology, housed within the School of Economics and Management. He holds a PhD from Georgia State University, USA. His research focuses on developmental psychopathology, particularly the biological, environmental, and individual factors influencing antisocial behavior in children and adolescents. He leads international and national research projects and has published over 100 articles, books, and chapters.

Awards include the Jevon S. Newman Career Contribution Award and UCY’s Research Excellence Award. He serves on editorial boards for journals like Journal of Abnormal Child Psychology and European Journal of Developmental Psychology.
As Department Chair, he teaches Developmental Psychology, Child and Adolescent Psychopathology, and Antisocial Behavior. His lab, DPLab-UCY, focuses on translational research bridging clinical and developmental psychology.
