Malgorzata Kossut is a Professor of Neurophysiology at the Nencki Institute of Experimental Biology, where she has led the Laboratory of Neuroplasticity since 1994. She also served as Chairperson of the Department of Molecular and Cellular Neurobiology (2011-2015) and the Warsaw School of Social Psychology's Cognitive Neuroscience department (2009-2018). Her career spans decades of international research in neuroplasticity and sensory systems, with affiliations including collaborations in clinical neuroscience.

She is a member of the Polish Academy of Sciences and Polish Academy of Arts and Sciences, reflecting her leadership in neuroscience.
