Dr. Korre Foster is a Professor in the Music Department at Austin Peay State University. He has directed choirs such as Chamber Singers, Governor Singers, and the University Choir, while teaching courses in choral literature, methods, and conducting. His academic journey includes a Doctor of Musical Arts from the University of Miami, a Master of Music from the University of Arizona, and dual Bachelor degrees from Millikin University.

Dr. Foster specializes in French Baroque music, rhetoric in music, and Latvian choral traditions. He presented research on Marc-Antoine Charpentier at international conferences in Belfast, Denver, and London, and participated in the Summer Fellows Research Program in Riga. His work bridges performance, pedagogy, and historical musicology.
Scientific awards include the Harriet Hale Woolley Scholarship, enabling advanced study in Paris. He conducted choirs at Le Palais Royal and L'Académie de Musique, studied under leading scholars, and led the 2018 All-State Choir Camp in Dallas. Dr. Foster also attended a Choral Art Residency at the Banff Centre in 2019.
