Koos Zevenhoven is a Visiting Professor and Research Group Leader at Aalto University's Department of Neuroscience and Biomedical Engineering. He holds a Doctoral degree in Engineering Physics and Biomedical Engineering (2023) from Aalto University, along with prior degrees in Engineering and Technology. His work focuses on advancing ultra-low-field MRI systems, hybrid MEG-MRI instrumentation, and computational modeling of magnetic fields. Key contributions include developing the bfieldtools software for magnetic field simulation and optimizing MRI calibration techniques.
Research interests span biomedical engineering, magnetic resonance imaging, and sensor technology. He has authored over 35 publications and received awards including the Aalto Scientific Communication Award (2017) and Aalto University Doctoral Thesis Award (2024). His activities include organizing international bioelectromagnetism conferences and presenting at major neuroscience and imaging events.
