Konstantinos Tosidis is a classical guitarist, performer specialized in contemporary music, and pedagogue at Mozarteum University Salzburg (Lecturer under Prof. Eliot Fisk), Koninklijk Conservatorium Brussels, and Conservatorio Superior de Musica de Extremadura. He received his Habilitation (Priv.-Doz.) from Mozarteum University in June 2024.
Education highlights include a Bachelor's and Master's with distinction from Mozarteum University under Eliot Fisk and Ricardo Gallén, followed by a PhD at the Royal Conservatory of Brussels (2016–2024). His research focuses on transcribing contemporary cello/violin/viola works for guitar while preserving musical intent, including a published arrangement of Ligeti’s Cello Sonata (Schott Edition).
Research interests emphasize innovative guitar repertoire expansion through transcription and commissioning works from composers like Atanas Ourkouzounov and Marco Dottlinger. Performance achievements include 5 CDs (including an upcoming Naxos release of Ourkouzounov’s sonatas) and international solo/chamber music engagements across Europe and the U.S.
As a founding member of the Miscelanea Guitar Quartet, he pioneered original compositions for guitar quartet. His pedagogical work includes teaching at three major institutions and mentoring through collaborative projects.
