Konstantinos Lambrinoudakis is a Professor at the Department of Digital Systems, University of Piraeus, Greece. He has held academic positions since 1998, including teaching at the University of the Aegean. Currently, he directs the Systems Security Lab and previously served as Head of the Department (2015-2020). He is actively involved in national and EU-funded research projects on Information and Communication Systems Security and Privacy Enhancing Technologies.
Education: B.Sc. in Electrical and Electronic Engineering (University of Salford, 1985), M.Sc. in Control Systems (University of London, 1986), Ph.D. in Computer Science (University of London, 1991).
Research Interests: Focuses on data protection, compliance with national/EU legislation in ICT systems, and cybersecurity. Has authored over 120 publications in refereed journals/conferences, with extensive contributions to security policies, privacy technologies, and regulatory frameworks.
Professional Roles: Served on the board of the Hellenic Authority for Communication Security and Privacy (2012-2015), and currently on the Hellenic Data Protection Authority (2016-present). Actively contributes to academic governance, including program committee roles in 15+ conferences and editorial boards of two journals.
Labs/Teams: Leads the Systems Security Lab at the University of Piraeus, fostering research in applied cybersecurity and privacy solutions.
