Konstantin Hirsch

Dr. Konstantin Hirsch is a Research Fellow at the Department of High-Sensitivity X-ray Spectroscopy, Technische Universität Berlin. His work focuses on advanced spectroscopic techniques to study electronic and magnetic properties of atomic clusters and transition metal compounds.

Research Interests:
Dr. Hirsch investigates the electronic structure of gas-phase clusters, magnetic moments in doped systems, and spin states of transition metals using X-ray absorption spectroscopy, X-ray magnetic circular dichroism, and core-level spectroscopy. His studies explore ligand interactions, oxidation states, and coordination effects at atomic scales.

His recent work spans high-spin manganese oxides (2024), nickel halides bonding transitions (2024), and size-dependent magnetic properties in cobalt clusters (2013-2024). Articles highlight applications in nanomaterials, transition metal chemistry, and biophysical systems.
