Klebert Feitosa is a Professor in the Department of Physics & Astronomy at James Madison University (JMU) since 2010. His research focuses on understanding complex behaviors in soft materials such as granular systems, foams, and emulsions. He investigates phenomena like jamming transitions in granular media, stability of complex fluids, and material failure mechanisms to prevent catastrophic failures and enable advanced applications.
Education includes a BS from Universidade de São Paulo (Brazil, 1994), MS (2002), and PhD (2004) in Physics from the University of Massachusetts Amherst. His publications emphasize experimental studies of granular dynamics, emulsion rheology, and foam stabilization. Key research areas include fractal patterns in emulsions, angle of repose in granular piles, and surfactant effects on foam stability.
Feitosa collaborates with facilities like the Madison Accelerator Lab and John C. Wells Planetarium at JMU. His work bridges fundamental physics with applied material science, addressing both theoretical challenges and technological applications in soft matter systems.
