Dr. Klaus Zipfel is a Research Fellow at the Institute of Quantum Optics within the Faculty of Mathematics and Physics at Leibniz University Hannover. Since 2019, he has contributed to advancements in optical frequency measurement and stable frequency transfer through experimental work in quantum optics and atomic physics.

His research focuses on Quantum Sensing, particularly in developing magnesium lattice clocks, precision atom interferometry, and enhancing dipole trap technologies. Recent publications highlight his work on gravitational and magnetic field analysis in long baseline interferometers.
