Professor Klaus Legner is affiliated with the Department of Architecture at Bochum University of Applied Sciences, where he has held a professorship since 2003 and served as Vice Dean from 2010 to 2016. His expertise spans construction economics, management, and architectural design, with a focus on integrating practical industry experience into academic research and education.
Education: Studied architecture at the Technical University of Munich and ETH Zurich. Collaborated with prestigious firms such as Behnisch + Partner, Schuster Architects, and Auer + Weber Architects before establishing his own practice, Legner Architects, in 1994.
Research & Awards: Recognized with the German Architecture Prize 2001 (Auer + Weber collaboration). His work emphasizes sustainable construction practices and the economic dimensions of architectural projects. Active in professional organizations like the Association of German Architects (BDA).
Teaching: Leads courses in construction economics (M6.1), construction management (M6.2), and architectural law, among others. Consultation hours are held by appointment.
