Kjersti Berggraf Jacobsen

Kjersti Berggraf Jacobsen is Vice-Dean of Education at the Faculty of Teacher Education and Languages, Høgskolen i Østfold (HiØ). She holds a Cand. polit in Pedagogics from the University of Oslo and has extensive experience in teacher education roles. Her career includes serving as Head of Studies for primary and lower secondary teacher programs (2010–2017), Programme Coordinator for preschool education (2003–2010), and Assistant Professor (2000–2010). Key areas of focus include curriculum development, educational leadership, and multilingual education. She has contributed to national committees such as the UHR-Teacher Education Committee (2017–2021). Her research explores educational policy, teacher training effectiveness, and the integration of cultural diversity in pedagogical practices. Over 20 publications reflect her work in teacher education, policy analysis, and cross-cultural educational dynamics. Jacobsen has led several initiatives to strengthen practical fieldwork connections and digital education strategies at HiØ.
