Dr. Kiyoshi Sasaki is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Biology within the College of Arts and Sciences at Winthrop University. He holds a Ph.D. in Zoology from Oklahoma State University. Prior to joining Winthrop in 2017, he served as a Visiting Assistant Professor at Loyola University Maryland and completed a postdoctoral research fellowship at Laurentian University (Ontario, Canada).
His research focuses on understanding how human activities—such as habitat modification, pollution, exploitation, invasive species, and climate change—affect wildlife populations and communities.
