Dr. Kitt Price is a Senior Lecturer in Modern and Contemporary Literature at Queen Mary University of London's School of English and Drama. They hold a BA from the University of Manchester, an MA from the University of Sheffield, and a PhD from the University of Cambridge. Previously, they taught at Anglia Ruskin University and served as a Junior Research Fellow at Homerton College, Cambridge.
Research focuses on intersections of science, technology, and culture, including studies of William Empson, J.B. Priestley, parapsychology, and media history. Their book Loving Faster Than Light explores Einstein’s theories in 1920s-30s British literature and culture. Current projects include a book on prophetic dreams and mass media's role in shaping their narratives.
Teaching courses include ESH124: Poetry, ESH6061: Teaching Trans Lives, and ESH7022: Literature, Science & Technology. They supervise doctoral students in related fields.
Funded by the Arts and Humanities Research Council for projects on Edwardian technology and Victorian telepathy. Their work bridges literature, science, and social anthropology, reflecting interdisciplinary interests cultivated during their undergraduate studies.
