Kishore Guda

Kishore Guda, DVM, PhD, is an Associate Professor at the Digestive Health Research Institute and Case Comprehensive Cancer Center, School of Medicine, Case Western Reserve University. His research focuses on molecular mechanisms of gastrointestinal malignancies, including gastric, esophageal, and colorectal cancers, with an emphasis on developing biomarkers and targeted therapies. His lab employs systems biology, animal models, and pharmacogenetic approaches to study cancer genetics and disparities. He is an HHMI postdoctoral fellow alum and funded by NIH/NCI and cancer foundations.

Research interests include inherited cancer susceptibility, molecular biomarkers for early detection, and therapeutic strategies for refractory cancers. His team also develops computational pipelines for Omics data analysis. Collaborations span translational oncology, genomics, and clinical practice impact.

Publications highlight work on noncoding RNAs, signaling pathways (e.g., TGF-β, JNK), and mutational landscapes in cancer. Funding sources include NIH grants and private donations. His work bridges basic science and clinical applications to address cancer disparities and improve patient outcomes.
