Kirsti Riiser is a Professor at OsloMet's Faculty of Health Sciences, Department of Rehabilitation Science and Health Technology. Her work focuses on physical activity, health-related quality of life, and health literacy in children and adolescents.
She leads and contributes to multiple research projects including:
- Health technology in home-based palliative care for children (CHIP homeTec)
- HEYoung intervention study for persistent pain
- OPAL project on immigrant parents' health literacy
- MUSKHEL project on musculoskeletal health literacy
Her recent publications emphasize digital health solutions for pediatric palliative care, obesity interventions, and inclusive research methodologies. She actively supervises students at bachelor, master, and PhD levels.
