Kirsten Fertuck is a Teaching Professor and Director of the Biochemistry Program at Northeastern University since 2020. She joined the faculty in 2014 and teaches courses across introductory to advanced levels, including Molecules and Cells, Genetics, Biochemistry, and Capstone research. Her roles include curriculum design, student advising, and program administration within the College of Science.

Research interests focus on integrating environmental toxicology with biochemical education, emphasizing undergraduate curriculum innovation and student success. She mentors the American Society for Biochemistry and Molecular Biology (ASBMB) chapter, which earned the 2020 'Chapter of the Year' award.
Recipient of the 2022 College of Science Excellence in Teaching Award for impactful pedagogy and student engagement.
