Kirsten Ainley

Kirsten Ainley is an Associate Professor at the Australian National University (ANU) Gender Institute, with a focus on feminist international relations and global ethics. She leads the Hybrid Justice Project and serves as Principal Investigator for the GCRF Women Peace and Security Hub, addressing intersections between gender, justice, and security in conflict-affected states.

Her research examines ethical agency, responsibility allocation in global governance, and the political implications of hybrid legal mechanisms in post-conflict environments. Key projects include fieldwork in Cambodia, Colombia, Iraq, Rwanda, and Sri Lanka.
