Kirbi Yelorda

Dr. Kirbi Yelorda is a Clinical Assistant Professor in the Department of Surgery, Division of General Surgery – Colon and Rectal Surgery at Stanford University School of Medicine. She completed a colon and rectal surgery fellowship at Mount Sinai Health System and a general surgery residency at Stanford, where she also earned a Master of Science in health research and policy.

Her research integrates clinical surgery with public health, focusing on:

• Impact of social determinants on colorectal cancer outcomes
• Disparities in surgical care access and quality
• Minimally invasive/robotic surgical techniques
• Innovations in surgical education and trainee well-being

Her publications demonstrate a strong emphasis on health equity, surgical training optimization, and clinical outcomes research.
