Kinji Ito

Dr. Kinji Ito is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Languages, Literatures & Cultures at Appalachian State University. He specializes in Japanese language and culture, translation studies, and second language acquisition. His teaching focuses on Japanese language pedagogy, business Japanese, and translation.

Dr. Ito holds a PhD in Translation Studies from Binghamton University, alongside an MA in Japanese Language and Literature from the University of Massachusetts Amherst. He also earned an MBA in Management Information Systems and a BS in Management, both from Binghamton University. His multidisciplinary background combines language education with business expertise.

His research interests bridge practical language teaching methods and theoretical aspects of translation and second language acquisition. He actively contributes to the field through his scholarly work and pedagogical innovations.
