معرفی
Dr. Kinga Rajewska is a faculty member at Poznań University of Technology, working in the Institute of Chemical Technology and Engineering within the Department of Process Engineering. She holds a Doctor of Engineering degree and has been actively contributing to research and teaching in the field of drying processes and thermomechanical phenomena.
Her educational background includes doctoral studies in Chemical Technology and Research Equipment from 1998-2003 at Poznań University of Technology, with a dissertation topic on "Qualitative and energy aspects of convective and microwave drying." Prior to that, she completed her Master's degree from 1993-1998 at Poznań University of Technology, Faculty of Mechanical Engineering and Management, specializing in Construction of Scientific Equipment.
Dr. Rajewska's research focuses on thermomechanical phenomena in dried materials, with particular emphasis on heat and mass transport, optimization of drying processes using alternative techniques such as microwaves and infrared radiation, and material destruction during drying. Her work bridges fundamental principles of chemical engineering with practical applications in material science and process optimization. Through her research, she has made significant contributions to understanding the complex interactions between thermal energy, moisture movement, and mechanical stresses in various materials during drying processes.
Her publication record shows a consistent focus on drying technologies over nearly two decades, with increasing sophistication in methodologies and applications. Her work spans from fundamental studies on drying-induced stresses to applied research on wood, ceramics, and plant materials. A notable trend in her recent work is the exploration of non-conventional drying techniques like ultrasound and microwave-assisted processes, reflecting a broader shift in the field toward energy-efficient and quality-preserving drying methods.
Dr. Rajewska has been actively involved in teaching, delivering lectures on Fundamentals of chemical and process engineering, as well as laboratory classes on Engineering of materials and porous media, Basics of chemical engineering, and Advanced techniques for drying materials and biomaterials. She has also served as an examiner at interviews during recruitment for full-time second-cycle studies from 2015-2020.
