Kim Twist

Kim Twist is Associate Professor of Political Science at San Diego State University, specializing in far-right extremism and party politics. Her book "Partnering with Extremists" (University of Michigan Press, 2019) examines coalition formations between mainstream and far-right parties in Western Europe. Research employs comparative methods to analyze European politics, party systems, and government coalitions.

Recipient of the College of Arts & Letters Teaching Excellence Award (2020-21) for instructional innovation. Previously served as Faculty-in-Residence for University Towers and M@College (2017-20), enhancing student academic experiences.

Teaches comparative politics courses including statistics, European politics, British politics, and political parties. Research supported by grants including National Science Foundation funding.
