Kim Kerr is a College Assistant Professor in the Department of Finance at the New Mexico State University (NMSU) College of Business. She joined NMSU in Fall 2019 and specializes in teaching insurance courses and business risk management. With 24 years of professional experience, she also holds a Master of Public Administration from Golden Gate University (1995) and a Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice with a Business Administration minor from Wayland Baptist University (1988). Additionally, she served in the U.S. Army from 1981 to 1990 as a Military Police Staff Sergeant.
Her expertise bridges public administration, criminal justice, and financial risk management. Kerr serves as the faculty advisor for Gamma Iota Sigma (GIS), a professional risk management and insurance honor society.
