Kim Hester is a Professor of Management in the Neil Griffin College of Business at Arkansas State University, where she has been a faculty member since 1997. She holds a Ph.D. in Industrial Relations/Human Resources Management from the University of Alabama and teaches courses in Human Resources Management, Labor Relations, and Compensation Management. She is also an invited lecturer at a university near Salzburg, Austria.
Her educational background includes:

- B.S. in Accounting & Finance, Jacksonville State University
Her research centers on employee attitudes and organizational dynamics, particularly focusing on organizational commitment, justice, perceptions of support, and union-related behaviors. She applies both theoretical and empirical approaches to understand workplace behavior and human capital development.
She is affiliated with several professional organizations, including the Academy of Management, Southern Academy of Management, Southwestern Academy of Management, and the Industrial Relations Research Association.
Dr. Hester has published numerous scholarly articles and presented at international, national, and regional conferences, reflecting sustained research productivity over her career.
She has prior professional experience as Financial Director of a healthcare corporation, Assistant Controller in manufacturing, and with a CPA firm. She also taught as an adjunct instructor at Jacksonville State University before joining Arkansas State University full-time.
