Kilian Kappert

Kilian Kappert serves as an Assistant Professor at the University of Twente within the Faculty of Science and Technology and Department of Biomedical Imaging & Sensing. He concurrently holds a position as technical physician in the vascular surgery department at ZGT hospital and acts as research coordinator for diabetic foot initiatives at the ZGT Academy.

His research program centers on diabetic foot complications, specializing in advanced imaging methodologies for early diagnosis, preventive strategies, and therapeutic monitoring. This work integrates clinical vascular surgery with photonics-based sensing technologies:
