Albany College of Pharmacy and Health Sciencesمعرفی
Kideok Jin, PhD, is an Associate Professor in the Department of Pharmaceutical Sciences at Albany College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences (ACPHS). His research focuses on endocrine-resistant breast cancer mechanisms, particularly the interplay between cancer cells and their microenvironment. He holds a PhD from SUNY Upstate Medical University, with postdoctoral training at Johns Hopkins University.
Dr. Jin's work investigates secretome-driven resistance pathways and stromal-epithelial crosstalk in breast cancer. He has secured NIH funding (R15 CA271221 as PI and R15 CA287244 as collaborator) and serves on multiple ACPHS committees, including the Research Committee and Institutional Biosafety Committee. His teaching spans molecular biology, pharmacology, and cancer genetics at both undergraduate and graduate levels.
Key research interests include: 1) identifying therapeutic targets in tumor microenvironments, 2) understanding cytokine-mediated resistance mechanisms, and 3) developing combinatorial therapies for metastatic breast cancer. His lab employs experimental and computational approaches to model tumor heterogeneity and stromal interactions.
Recent work highlights CXCL1's role in fibroblast-cancer crosstalk and synergistic effects of CXCR inhibitors with endocrine therapies. He has presented at major conferences like AACR and contributed to over 40 peer-reviewed publications since 2002, spanning breast cancer biology, HOX gene functions, and therapeutic resistance mechanisms.
