Kia Hardy Vernon

Kia Hardy Vernon is a Professor of Law and Associate Dean of Academic Affairs at North Carolina Central University School of Law. She has held administrative roles since 2016, including director of academic excellence and assistant dean of academic success, and currently oversees academic programming and instruction.

Vernon has developed key academic success courses and programs, including Flight School (preorientation), PASS Academy (early bar review), and the Summer Start Initiative. She teaches courses on Contracts, Spanish for Lawyers, and Reproductive Rights, with administrative roles since 2016.
