Khurram Khan Afridi is a Professor at the School of Electrical and Computer Engineering, Cornell University. He previously held faculty positions at the University of Colorado Boulder (Assistant Professor and Goh Faculty Fellow, 2014-2018) and as a Visiting Faculty at MIT’s EECS Department (2009-2014). He has also served as Project Director for LUMS School of Science and Engineering (2004-2008) and held executive roles at Techlogix (COO 2000-2010, CTO 1997-2000).

He leads innovations in power converter architectures, circuit topologies, and control strategies.
Recent publications highlight advancements in GaN-based converters, resonant converter modeling, and wireless power transfer compensation methods. He has received prestigious awards including the NSF CAREER Award (2016), Cornell Engineering Research Excellence Award (2021), and Michael Tien '72 Excellence in Teaching Award (2023). He has also chaired major IEEE conferences like COMPEL 2024 and WPTC 2015.
