Khalid Lyamlahy is an Assistant Professor of French and Francophone Studies and Undergraduate Adviser at the University of Chicago. His research focuses on Francophone North African literature, particularly Moroccan writers from the Souffles generation, postcolonial theory, and translation studies. He holds a PhD from the University of Oxford and has held editorial roles for academic journals such as the Bulletin of Francophone Postcolonial Studies.
Education: PhD in French and Francophone Studies (University of Oxford), MEng in Engineering (École des Mines d’Alès), BA and MA in French Literature (Université Paris 3 Sorbonne Nouvelle), and MA in Comparative Literature (Université Paris 3).

Recent Work: Co-editor of Abdelkébir Khatibi: Postcolonialism, Transnationalism, and Culture (2020) and author of the novel Un Roman Étranger (2017). Currently completing a monograph on Souffles-generation writers and analyzing post-2011 North African literature.
