Khaldoon Albitar is a Senior Lecturer in Accounting at the Adam Smith Business School, University of Glasgow, where he joined in February 2024. Previously, he served as Senior Lecturer in Accounting and Finance and Programme Leader for BA (Hons) Finance/Business with Business Communication Programmes at the University of Portsmouth. His research focuses on corporate social and environmental responsibility, sustainability accounting, integrated reporting, and textual analysis in accounting.
Research Interests: Khaldoon's expertise includes corporate governance, climate change reporting, ESG metrics, and the intersection of technology with financial practices. He contributes to leading journals such as Business Strategy and the Environment and holds editorial roles in Corporate Governance and Journal of Applied Accounting Research.
Grants and Awards: He has secured research grants as a Principal Investigator from the British Academy and the University of Portsmouth. Notably, he is a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy (FHEA), reflecting his commitment to teaching excellence.
