Keya Anjaria is a Lecturer in Comparative Literature and Departmental Director of Learning and Teaching at the School of Languages, Cultures and Linguistics, SOAS University of London. She chairs the MA Comparative Literature program and serves as a member of academic committees. Her research focuses on Modern Turkish Literature, Comparative Literature, World Literature, and the Novel, with particular expertise in Turkish language and culture.
Her work explores themes such as Ottoman literary traditions, postcolonial narratives, and the intersection of politics and urban space in contemporary Turkish literature. Notable publications include analyses of Perihan Mağden and Yaşar Kemal, examining feminist perspectives and sociopolitical contexts in Turkish novels.
