Kevin Wells is a Professor of AI in Human and Veterinary Healthcare at the University of Surrey, affiliated with the Centre for Vision, Speech and Signal Processing (CVSSP) within the School of Computer Science and Electronic Engineering. His career spans roles at Bath University (1996-2008) and Surrey University, where he advanced from Lecturer (Medical Imaging) to Professor. He chaired Surrey's Ethics Committee (2018-2022) and focuses on AI applications in healthcare, including sleep technology, veterinary medicine, and medical imaging.

- Sleep monitoring systems using IR cameras and deep learning
- PET/CT glycolytic volume analysis
- Social media listening for pet health insights
- Breast cancer imaging optimization
Grants & Collaborations: Funded by Zoetis, Alliance Medical, Mirada Medical, and EPSRC. Active in collaborative projects like the Dementia Research Institute and Surrey DataHub.
