Kevin Volkan

Kevin Volkan is a Professor of Psychology at California State University Channel Islands, with adjunct appointments at California Lutheran University and Pacifica Graduate Institute. A licensed psychologist in California, he bridges clinical practice with academic roles.

Kevin has authored three books: Dancing Among the Maenads (substance abuse psychology), Schizophrenia: Science, Psychoanalysis, and Culture, and How the Mind Works (psychotherapy case studies). A forthcoming book on human aggression and war is scheduled for winter 2023 publication.
