Professor Kevin Varvell is a faculty member in the Department of Physics at the University of Sydney. His roles include experimental particle physics research and teaching, alongside leadership in collaborative research initiatives.
Education:
- Bachelor's degree from University of Western Australia
- D.Phil (PhD equivalent) from University of Oxford
Research Interests: Experimental particle physics focusing on neutrino physics, B-meson flavor physics, and hadron collider physics. Active in international experiments at CERN, Fermilab, and KEK.
Past Leadership:
- Director of the University of Sydney Node of the ARC Centre of Excellence for Particle Physics at the Terascale (CoEPP) 2011-2021

- 2023: LIEF Grant for Australian collider physics infrastructure
