University of Applied Sciences and Arts Northwestern Switzerlandمعرفی
Dr. Kevin Trutmann is a Researcher at the University of Applied Sciences Northwestern Switzerland FHNW, School of Applied Psychology, Institute of Humans in Complex Systems. He has held this position since September 2022.
Educational Background:
- 2018-2023: Doctorate in Psychology, University of Basel, Switzerland (Focus: Mathematical modeling of learning behavior in investment decisions)
- 2016-2018: Master of Science in Psychology, University of Basel, Switzerland (Focus: Social, Economic, and Decision Psychology)
- 2013-2016: Bachelor of Science in Psychology, University of Basel, Switzerland
Dr. Trutmann's research focuses on Aviation Security, Cognitive Modeling, and Human-Technology Interaction in complex systems. His work examines how humans interact with increasingly automated security systems, particularly in airport screening contexts where AI is transforming traditional security protocols.
He is currently involved in two major research projects: SCALER (Screener Competency Assessment: Long-Term Enhancement of Robustness, 2022-2027), which examines X-ray screening processes at security checkpoints, and TEST (Training and Evaluation for New Systems and Technologies, 2023-2027), which investigates how automation and AI are changing security screening requirements as security personnel are increasingly supported by AI in detecting hazardous objects.
Dr. Trutmann brings previous research experience from the University of Basel's Center for Economic Psychology (2016-2018) and Department of Cognitive Psychology (2014-2016), as well as an internship at the University of Tübingen's Department of Mathematical Psychology (2017). His work at the Institute of Humans in Complex Systems addresses how automation, digitalization, and technical networking create both opportunities and challenges for human-technology-organization interactions.
