Kevin Shook is a Teaching Fellow in Studio Art at Millsaps University, where he practices as an observer-artist interpreting global phenomena through visual media. His work establishes cultural dialogue by inviting viewers to perceive the world through alternative lenses.
His academic credentials include:
- B.F.A. in Printmaking and Drawing from The University of Akron
- M.F.A. in Printmaking from The University of Delaware
Shook's research centers on printmaking, drawing, and digital media as vehicles for exploring interconnected themes filtered through personal experience. His conceptual framework positions art as society's cultural foundation, with exhibitions at prominent venues including Delaware Art Museum, Space One Eleven Gallery, and Morgan Conservatory. This practice bridges artistic creation and lived experience through intentional thematic connections.
He served as Art Program Director for the National Endowment for the Arts Big Read Grant (2015-2016), curating and installing the exhibition "Lesley Dill and Emily Dickinson: Poetry and Art".
