Kevin Poelking is an Instructor of Music and Assistant Director of Bands at Colorado State University, directing the CSU Concert Band and teaching conducting, theory, and music courses. He holds a Master of Music in Conducting from CSU and a Bachelor of Music in Music Education from the University of South Carolina.
His research interests focus on music composition, conducting pedagogy, and innovative educational methodologies. Notable achievements include international commissions, performances by ensembles like the Budapest Scoring Orchestra, and recordings on the Tohensen Record Label. He advocates for new repertoire through projects like the 'Chamber Winds Project' recommended by CBDNA and the pandemic-era 'Flexible Ensemble Learning Experience.'
