Kevin Michels is a Professor of Interdisciplinary Business and Founding Director of the School of Business Center for Innovation and Ethics at The College of New Jersey (TCNJ). He holds a J.D. from Rutgers Law School and a B.A. in History and Political Science from Rutgers College. His teaching focuses on innovation, business ethics, and legal environments, blending practical expertise with theoretical rigor. Prior to TCNJ, he practiced law, advising entrepreneurs and serving as legal counsel.
Michels' research explores innovation, legal ethics, and corporate responsibility. He has authored numerous articles and the treatise New Jersey Attorney Ethics, cited in state and federal courts. Recognitions include being named one of the 'Top 40 Undergraduate Business Professors' nationally (2017) and a TCNJ Faculty Commencement Speaker (2016).
He serves on committees for TCNJ’s academic and administrative leadership, including the School of Business Strategic Planning Committee and College Core Council. Beyond academia, his interests include innovation’s societal impact and fostering ethical leadership.
