Kevin Hart is the Jo Rae Wright University Distinguished Professor at Duke University's Divinity School, concurrently holding a Professorship in the Department of English at Trinity College of Arts & Sciences. He holds a Ph.D. from the University of Melbourne (1987). His research explores intersections between theology, philosophy, and literature, focusing on contemplative practices, mystical theology, and continental philosophy. Recent works include Contemplation: The Movements of the Soul (2024) and memoir Dark-Land (2024).
