Dr. Kevin Harrison is an Assistant Teaching Professor and Honors Faculty Fellow at the Dorothy and Bill Cohen Honors College, Wichita State University. He joined the institution in 2015 as Community Engagement Coordinator for Diversity and Community Engagement, later expanding his role to include similar responsibilities in the Division of Military and Veterans Affairs.
His educational background includes an Ed.D. (Doctor of Education). His teaching and research focus on perspective-driven, discussion-based instruction to foster inclusive academic and social environments for students of all ethnicities and backgrounds. He has also managed community engagement programs sponsored by Textron Aviation and taught courses in ethnic studies and women's studies.
Dr. Harrison emphasizes nurturing inclusive communities through pedagogy and community partnerships, leveraging his interdisciplinary background to address diversity and social equity in higher education.
