Kevin Gushiken

Kevin Gushiken, PhD serves as the Dean of the School of Bible & Ministry and Director of the PhD in Leadership and Doctor of Ministry programs at Lancaster Bible College. His work focuses on cultivating Christian leaders through biblical and critical thinking, particularly in multiethnic contexts, while emphasizing the importance of joy in ministry through his research on the theology of play.

Gushiken’s research spans leadership development in Christian and intercultural frameworks, with a recent emphasis on integrating play into theological understanding for holistic ministry. He has authored articles in academic journals and presented at national conferences, culminating in his book The Theology of Play: Learning to Enjoy Life as God Intended.

He previously served as Senior Pastor at Harvard Avenue Evangelical Free Church for 18 years, leading a multiethnic congregation. At Lancaster Bible College, he teaches research classes in advanced leadership programs and holds a full-time faculty role.
