Dr. Kevin Amoke is a Lecturer at the University of Nigeria’s Department of English and Literary Studies and a PhD Candidate at Lancaster University’s DeLC. His research focuses on African literature, particularly Nigerian works, exploring prostitution discourse, gender studies, and literary economics. He is funded by Lancaster’s Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences Postgraduate Research Studentship.

Research Interests: Kevin investigates the intersection of literature and economics in African novels, analyzing mercantilist discourses and identity questions. His work spans Nigerian authors like Achebe, Soyinka, and Adichie, with an emphasis on gender, power dynamics, and migration.
Publications: Recent peer-reviewed articles include studies on Christopher Okigbo’s poetry and Achebe’s Anthills of the Savannah>. His upcoming 2027 doctoral thesis examines migration and sex work through African literatures.
Teaching & Grants: Taught courses at the University of Nigeria since 2009, including Introduction to Fiction and African Prose Narratives. His PhD is fully funded by Lancaster University. Supervised by Dr. Charlotte Baker and Dr. Amit Thakkar, he also mentors students and serves on academic committees.
