Keshrie Naidoo

Keshrie Naidoo is a Distinguished Teaching Associate Professor and Chair of the Physical Therapy Department at the MGH Institute of Health Professions within the School of Health and Rehabilitation Sciences. She holds a Doctor of Education (EdD) from Johns Hopkins University, specializing in Entrepreneurial Leadership in Education, alongside degrees from MGH Institute and the University of Cape Town, South Africa.

Her academic roles include leadership in curriculum development, clinical education coordination, and residency program direction. Dr. Naidoo’s work focuses on educational equity, belonging in healthcare professions, and mentorship strategies for minoritized students. She has pioneered initiatives to integrate social justice principles into physical therapy education and has led over 20 funded grants addressing diversity, inclusion, and student success.

Research interests span cross-cultural mentoring models, pandemic-era pedagogy, and systemic barriers to equity in health professions. Notable achievements include the 2024 Justice, Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion Leadership Award and the 2022 New Investigator Award. She has authored over 30 peer-reviewed publications and serves as Editor-in-Chief of the Journal of Physical Therapy Education.

Administrative contributions include roles on the National Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion Commission (NEDIC), Massachusetts Department of Developmental Services advisory boards, and numerous institutional committees focusing on DEI, faculty development, and strategic planning. Her clinical experience spans 25 years, including orthopedic specialist certification and leadership roles at Bay State Physical Therapy and Massachusetts General Hospital.

Dr. Naidoo’s teaching innovations include developing the Social Justice and Health Equity cross-curricular thread and hybrid orthopedic residency programs. She mentors doctoral students, faculty, and clinical instructors, emphasizing anti-racist practices and interprofessional collaboration.
