Kerstin Schneider

Prof. Dr. Kerstin Schneider holds the Chair of Public Finance and Taxation at the University of Wuppertal's Schumpeter School of Business and Economics. She is also the head of the Wuppertal Institute for Research on the Economics of Education (WIB), a cross-faculty competence center. Effective February 1, 2024, she joined the extended Executive Board of the RWI – Leibniz Institute for Economic Research, contributing to strategic development in educational economics and economic education.

Her research focuses on the economics of education, public finance, and taxation. At the University of Wuppertal, she has been active since 2004, leading key initiatives in educational and economic research. She oversees thesis and seminar offerings for students in the Faculty of Economics and Business, accessible via institutional email addresses.
