Kerstin Lischka is a Research Fellow and PhD candidate at the Chair of Early Modern History & Gender History, Ruhr-University Bochum. She holds an M.A. and B.A. from the same institution, with a focus on History and Art History. Her research centers on intersections of reproduction, corporeality, gender, and marriage in early modern Europe, particularly in confessionalized contexts. She is affiliated with the German Historical Association (VHD), Women's and Gender Research Network NRW, and the Working Group of Women’s and Gender History (AKHFG).
Since 2022, she has been part of the DFG-funded project 'Body Control' examining marriage courts in Hohenlohe. Her dissertation explores reproduction conflicts before consistorial courts in Southwest Germany (17th–18th centuries). She has presented widely on topics like marital dissolution, male impotence as a legal ground for divorce, and gendered bodily norms in early modern Europe.
She has published book reviews in sehepunkte and articles in Westfalen/Lippe – historisch, and serves as a Graduate Research Assistant and former student council member. Consultation hours are Tuesdays 2–3 PM in GA 4/132.
