Kerry Vahala

Kerry Vahala is the Ted and Ginger Jenkins Professor of Information Science and Technology and a Professor of Applied Physics at the California Institute of Technology (Caltech). He leads a research group focused on optical physics and quantum information science.

His research interests include:

• Quantum optics
• Photonics
• Laser physics
• Optical microresonators
• Nonlinear optics
• Information science applications
