Kerry Barker is a Lecturer in Audiology within the Engineering and Physical Sciences Faculty at the University of Southampton. With over 20 years' experience as a Clinical Scientist in NHS Audiology, she is registered with the Health and Care Professions Council (CS17249) and holds fellow status with Advance HE. Her expertise spans adult diagnostic audiology, vestibular assessment, and clinical placement coordination.

Research Focus: Developing evidence-based hearing standards for police services, including qualitative methodology analysis and speech test protocols. Current projects explore response times to speech stimuli as auditory fitness metrics. She is a member of the Signal Processing Audio and Hearing Group.
Teaching: Module lead for Clinical and Professional Practice in audiology programs, coordinating NHS/independent clinical placements across all student levels. Provides practical teaching across undergraduate and postgraduate modules.
