Kerrie Lante is a Lecturer in Interprofessional Communication for Health, Human, and Disability Service Professionals at Flinders University, within the College of Nursing and Health Sciences. She is also an Associate Member of the Caring Futures Institute and serves on the board of Inclusive Sports SA. Her academic and industry experience centers on improving outcomes for individuals with intellectual disabilities through health promotion, inclusive practices, and interprofessional collaboration.

Her research focuses on promoting health and wellbeing through physical activity, Active Support, and inclusive recreational facilities. She is passionate about interprofessional education and enhancing the work engagement of disability professionals. Her work contributes to the UN Sustainable Development Goals, particularly those related to health and inclusion.
Kerrie's publications, spanning from 2010 to 2019, reflect a strong emphasis on physical activity interventions, burnout and work engagement in disability support workers, and inclusive pedagogy. Her research often employs mixed methods and randomized controlled trials, demonstrating both clinical and social science rigor. Themes across her work include community engagement, quality of life, and sustainable health practices for adults with intellectual disabilities.
She has received competitive grants from the Office of Recreation and Sport and the University of Sydney Widening Participation Grant. Her scientific recognition includes the Rotary International Group Study Exchange award in 2009.
Kerrie has supervised research projects and mentored students in disability studies and interprofessional practice. Her grant-funded work, such as the Inclusive Sports Facility model, demonstrates applied research with real-world impact. She has collaborated with government and non-government organizations to promote physical activity in community settings.
She is actively involved in professional service, notably as a Board Member of Inclusive Sports SA, where she contributes to strategic initiatives for inclusive recreation. Her prior involvement in the Creating a Sporting Chance program at RMIT highlights her long-standing commitment to accessible physical activity programs.
