Keny Chatain

Keny Chatain is a Jean-Walter Zellidja Fellow and Research Fellow at the Institut Jean Nicod, focusing on semantics-pragmatics interfaces. His research examines pronoun reference mechanisms, implicature calculation, and the semantics of plurality.

Core research questions explore:

• Constraints on pronoun antecedent selection
• Existential/universal ambiguities in donkey anaphora
• Computational modeling of exhaustification
• Grammatical basis of pragmatic operators

He developed the Python 'Exh' package for computing exhaustive interpretations and created graphical tools for linguistic tree notation. His doctoral work at MIT addressed cumulativity through homogeneity frameworks.
