Kenton Taylor Howard

Dr. Kenton Taylor Howard is a Lecturer at the University of Central Florida (UCF) in the Texts and Technology program. He is currently pursuing his PhD at UCF, having entered candidacy in Fall 2018.

• Education: MA in English (Science Fiction and Fantasy Literature), Florida Atlantic University (2012)
• BA in English, Flagler College (2009)

His research focuses on video games, science fiction/fantasy literature, and analog games. He has presented gaming-related work at academic conferences in the U.S. and at DiGRA in Italy (2018), and co-authored a paper on Magic: The Gathering in Well Played (February 2018).

Prior to joining UCF’s School of Visual Arts and Design (SVAD), he taught English and literature courses at various Florida colleges.
