Kenton Jones is a Lecturer and Resident Scenic Designer in the Department of Performing Arts - Theatre and Dance at Christopher Newport University (CNU). He holds an MFA in Scenic Design from the University of Memphis, an MFA in Theatre from Eastern Michigan University, and a BA in Speech and Dramatic Arts from the University of Iowa. His research focuses on Devised Theatre, Improvising Text, and Design theories and practices. Professor Jones teaches courses including Theatre Appreciation & History, Scenic Art & Design, and Theatre for Youth.
